ALCHEMY WISDOM: Messages for the Journey Spring 2008
2008—A Year to Remember Who We Are So much has happened in such a short time that I don’t know where to begin. One thing seems easier this year, though,—the ability to trust that everything is exactly as it should be. You might suspect that that must mean that things are going quite well, and you would be right, but the feeling of trust hasn’t dissipated even in those moments where things aren’t going my way. And even those tough moments are much easier when you absolutely know that it is all still exactly right. That level of trust has not been easy for me to achieve, but it is achievable, and it centers in a connection to self and source.
I think the biggest thing that I have learned from Matrix Energetics is that “states” matter. So for long time I practiced getting into the state (the state of letting go) required for practicing Matrix Energetics. But then I found that once I had let go, I had found something even more powerful—myself. Then I applied constant attention to accessing that new state, my source, my center, my connection to self. And I realized that when you live into that you find yourself to be more and more, well YOU! I mean you find your authentic self. Not the ego self with all its wants, desires, arrogances. But an unshakeable, unconquerable self—a self you can absolutely trust. My ego self could never have imagined this real self and the power within it. In fact, my ego self was pretty sure it might die if I lived into the new self. I can report, though, that my ego is safe and sound—just not as in control as it used to be. Now my ego self is a simple teacher and I can watch how it acts and reacts from a distance and simply learn more and more about where I am at any given moment. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in learning more about, I highly recommend Eckhart Tolle’s book A New Earth for a greater understanding of how to awaken to your authentic self.
The International Center for Consciousness Medicine—PeruLast year, I had a vision about a project that would build connections internationally between healers throughout the world. I’m pleased to announce the first stages of that project. To that end, I will be traveling to the Andes Mountains this spring to meet with Jhaimy Alvarez-Acosta, a traditional healer from Peru. Our first goal is to create a center near Cusco, Peru that will serve as a place to preserve and pass down traditional healing wisdom as well as offer space for international healers to come and share their arts, acting as a bridge for people all over the world who wish to experience or learn about consciousness medicine. The Peru project, while a worthwhile endeavor on its own, is actually just the beginning of a network of such places. At this point, I want to acknowledge the amazing people who are helping to create this vision: Jhaimy Alvarez-Acosta, from Peru; Starr Muranko, from Canada; and Sara Kinakin, from the Doukhobor community in Canada.
